People's views sought on £156m roundabout revamp

by Jose

Residents, businesses, schools, and community groups are being asked to share their views on a £156m revamp of a roundabout "at the heart of Plymouth's transport network".

Plans for Manadon roundabout, which links the A38 and Tavistock Road, feature wider roundabout entrances, bus priority lanes, and new cycle and pedestrian bridges.

The transformation of "under-used green space" off Treveneague Gardens is also in the plans, said Plymouth City Council.

"If we do nothing, congestion will worsen as the city continues to grow, queues will extend dangerously onto the A38, and access to key places like Derriford Hospital, Plymouth Argyle matches and the dockyard will be harder than ever."
